Mobile Computing
The SoMo® 650 is a durable handheld computer packed with power and speed to provide reliable performance in demanding business applications. Expandable and easy to customize, the SoMo 650 makes small to mid-size deployments practical and affordable for organizations that need a robust device that is easy to carry, simple to use, and built with just the right features. Available with SocketCare™ enhanced service and support, the SoMo 650 has been successfully deployed for point of care medical applications, tableside ordering and POS in restaurants, sales force automation, asset management, and much more.
Data Collection
Socket offers a comprehensive line of portable barcode, RFID, and magnetic stripe readers that significantly increase the efficiency of mobile data collection, whether scanning a patient wristband, reading an asset tag, or swiping a credit card. Compatible with many of the computers, smartphones and PDAs used today in healthcare, hospitality, and other industries, Socket data collection devices are easy to plug into a card slot or connect wirelessly with Bluetooth. Our 2D and 1D barcode readers feature powerful laser or CMOS imaging technology to provide industrial-class scanning in a portable, ergonomic form factor. We also work with several partners who manufacture mobile smart card readers.
OEM Solutions
The Socket OEM Group works closely with device manufacturers and other customers who incorporate Socket Mobile technology into their products. Our customized hardware solutions feature low power consumption, minimal component count and various form factors including PC Card, CompactFlash and SDIO products. Our software expertise provides Windows Mobile platform builds to support Socket products running on .NET devices. Embedded solutions integrate our card interface ICs or embed Bluetooth as well as 802.11a/b/g wireless technology into product designs.
