The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), a trade association comprised of leaders in the telecommunications, computing, and network industries, is driving development of the technology and bringing it to market. The Bluetooth SIG promoters include Agere, Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Motorola, Nokia and Toshiba, and hundreds of Associate and Adopter member companies.
As an active member of the Bluetooth SIG organization, Socket Mobile serves as the chair of the the PAN Working Group and serves on the BARB (Bluetooth Architectural Review Board) as well as participates in the MED - Medical Devices and the Core Specification work groups.

In 1999, several industry leaders came together to form a global, non-profit organization with the goal of driving the adoption of a single worldwide-accepted standard for high-speed wireless local area networking. We are that organization. We are known as the Wi-Fi Alliance.
To date we have certified the interoperability of more than 2,800 products. There is more, however, to Wi-Fi Alliance than interoperability. We work to provide Wi-Fi users with the information they need to make decisions about today's Wi-Fi systems. Whether you are a tech-savvy IT director, a security-minded CIO, or a home user intrigued by Wi-Fi possibilities, our aim is to provide the information you need to proceed with confidence and peace of mind.

Serving more than 900 members in 43 countries, AIM is dedicated to accelerating the growth and use of AIDC technologies and services around the world.
Our members are manufacturers or service providers of technologies such as radio frequency identification (RFID), bar code, card technologies (magnetic stripe, smart card, contactless card, optical card), biometrics, and electronic article surveillance (EAS).
SD Card Association

The association aims to establish the technical and specification standards for SD Memory Card applications, to continuously promote the SD memory card as the de-facto industry standard, and to encourage the development of digital A/V, wireless communication, and digital networking products that utilize the many unique benefits of SD technology.
Socket Mobile serves as Chair of the SDA Board of Directors and a long time member of the SDIO Task Group.
