THE SOMO™ 650 HANDHELD COMPUTER was featured in the March issue of Portable Computing Magazine as their product of the year for 2008. Nominated by Portable Computing editor Monty Fossberg, the SoMo 650 was chosen as the product of the year because of its unique enterprise capabilities and robust bar code and RFID functionalities, both of which made it stand out when compared to similar business class portable computers on the market today.
With its digital issue reaching more than 85,000 people each month, Portable Computing is a niche publication specializing in addressing the computing needs of enterprise users. The Product of the Year award was created by Portable Computing in 2005 to recognize outstanding achievements in mobile computing within a given year.
