Socket Bluetooth® Cordless Ring Scanner (CRS) 9P

In February, Socket released version 3 of its popular hands-free barcode scanner. Improvements include:

  • IP54 compliance for use in rugged environments.

  • A washable wrist strap for hygienic use by multiple workers.

  • Tangle-free, adjustable and removable coiled cable to comfortably accommodate different forearm sizes.

  • Improved Socket ActivePairing™ functionality so users can easily pair the CRS with any compatible Bluetooth enabled computer. Now there is a "Permanent Pair" option which makes the scanner automatically connect to the computer whenever it is turned on.

  • Hardware design conforms to extreme safety measures providing safe operating conditions.

  • Wrist strap with plastic "snap in" holder for the wrist module.

Socket Bluetooth Cordless Ring Scanner

Socket Bluetooth® Cordless Hand Scanner (CHS) Series 7

In February, the company released version 2 of the Socket Bluetooth Cordless Hand Scanner Series 7. Improvements include:

  • ActivePairing support for both Windows Mobile and Windows XP/Vista.

  • Improved ActivePairing features, including the Permanent Pair option, which makes the CHS automatically connect to the computer after it is turned on.

  • Trigger lockout feature lets you configure how long the CHS will wait for scanned barcode data to reach the computer before the CHS can scan another barcode.

  • Longer battery life.

  • New beep and LED patterns to match the CRS.

  • Bluetooth Device Address printed on a label inside the CHS.
