Platform Build Program

A Socket Mobile product driver will be generated which runs in a Windows CE 5.0 or 6.0 system. The basic build uses your OS SDK to rebuild the drivers and User Interface (UI); a CAB file is produced that installs the binaries and sets the registry settings. A custom driver can be developed for platforms not set for certain device builds, a specific UI, or languages other than English including French, German and Japanese.

NOTE: if your device registry is not accessible, the OEM Group will not be able to debug any driver problems. If the device cannot ActiveSync with a desktop computer, a desktop installer cannot be provided. It is recommended, but not required, that your device be able to ActiveSync with a desktop computer.
