Hold Switch Utility

This utility enhances the functionality of the hold switch on the SoMo and allows for greater control over the buttons and the touch screen. When the hold switch is enabled ON, it will disable the buttons on the SoMo. In addition the user can choose to disable the touch screen.

• Launch a user selectable program when the switch is toggled.
• Disable backlight to save power.
• Ensures that the screen is active after a reset.
• Option to leave the screen enabled and disable auto-suspend.
• Display an alert message whenever the switch is activated.

1) Resolved a problem with the IPL loader the possibility existed to do a clean boot when the intent was a cold boot.

2) Resolved a problem with the touch screen not being recognized occasionally the touch screen was not recognized when the battery was low, the SoMo 650 had powered off automatically, and then the SoMo 650 was connected to an external power source.

3) Resolved a problem that allowed the touch screen driver to be called while in a 'Sleep' state.

4a) Resolved a system lock up issue that occurred when a CF Memory card when inserted and removed quickly.

4b) Resolved a system lock up issue that occurred when a the SoMo 650® is powered off and back on quickly.

5) Resolved an intermittent issue where SoMo 650® did not recover after a reset, and required a reboot.

6) Updated the Socket Mobile Embedded Applications.
