The SoMo 650 Persistence mode feature is designed for optimal performance in wireless networks with few access points or limited wireless coverage. Once installed, users can select between Socket’s Fast roaming and Persistence mode options. Fast roaming delivers high performance in environments typically deployed with a professional site survey having multiple access points and sufficient wireless coverage. Persistence mode maximizes mobile performance in facilities with wireless networks having “limited” or “spotty” coverage.

Available for both Wi-Fi Companion (WFC - based on Microsoft’s Wireless Zero Configuration manager) and Enhanced Wi-Fi Companion (e-WFC - Socket’s high performance Cisco CCX 4.0 Certified wireless management solution offering advanced security).

Note: Only install the WFC CAB file if you are using WFC. Only install the e-WFC CAB file if you are using e-WFC. To determine which wireless manager you are using, read the Release Notes.
