Socket Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: SCKT), a leading provider of mobile data collection and manufacturer of Bluetooth barcode scanner and contactless reader/writer is looking to expand its IT development team with an individual who is passionate about new technologies and the mobile world.

Experience

The Sales Representative position will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships through our developers via commission-based partner programs. This person will also be responsible for managing online store sales and direct sales outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with new and existing application developers to grow product awareness and facilitate sales.
  • Recommend and administer commission-based partner programs.
  • Provide product information and recommend solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Manage SocketStore Call Center and Online Chat by providing order status and recommending products and solutions.
  • Manage direct channel partners.
  • Facilitate product upgrades via Support call referrals; recommending the right product to meet customer’s needs.
  • Attend product training to understand technical aspects of all company products and service-based solutions.
  • Track all activities, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status in Microsoft CRM.
  • Promote and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus. 
  • Establish professional and productive relationships with partners.
  • Ability to converse and communicate with customers to identify issues and provide valid solutions.
  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility – attaining customer satisfaction.
  • Project Management – training, problem research, follow up skills.
  • Presentation skills – ability to present company products and solutions to clients.

Required Education and Experience 

  1. BA / BS or equivalent experience.
  2. Previous sales and account management experience.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Excellent phone etiquette
  4. Strong attention to detail, highly organized and customer focus.
  5. Ability to prioritize, track and execute multiple open projects simultaneously.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
