JOB DESCRIPTION

Socket Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: SCKT), a leading provider of mobile data collection and manufacturer of Bluetooth barcode scanner and contactless reader/writer is looking to expand its IT development team with an individual who is passionate about new technologies and the mobile world.

The product manager oversees all communications for the audience of Socket Mobile SDK.

Mission

The TypeScript/JavaScript developer manages the Socket Mobile SDK for customers who are looking to use our SDK and products in a Web based solution.

The web environment is rich in frameworks that Socket Mobile would like to support and be the prominent choice in order to best serve our developer community.

The challenge is to offer a uniform API across platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows.

Responsibilities

  • Provide via package management our SDK for the various web environments, mostly using NPM
  • Add new features to the SDK
  • Add support for new web framework
  • Develop and maintain web apps used as SDK sample
  • Maintain the SDK including fixing bugs, modules update, change the deprecated APIs
  • Maintain the build script for building locally the SDK and on CI build environment
  • Maintain the SDK documentation

Experience

  • 5+ years of web application development using one of the most popular frameworks: Angular, React, VueJS, EmberJS
  • Strong in NodeJS development
  • Strong in JSVM
  • Familiar with Git source control operations such as clone, fork, pull, fetch, PR, rebase, checkout

Location

New York.

Must be legally able to work in the U.S. - no visa sponsoring.
