Socket Mobile Showcased at CES and NRF 2017

January 25, 2017

Tradeshow Update

January was a whirlwind month of trade shows and Socket Mobile made the best of keeping our feet on the ground when the dust settled. We were awed having our products displayed at different booths while having such great responses from show attendees.

At the international CES, our partners RAM Mounts and Axiomware Inc. displayed Socket Mobile’s wares for the world to critique. Our newest barcode scanning series, DuraScan, managed to win the hearts of onlookers who watched it in action. The rugged device showed just how fast and durable it can be when users put it to work.

In addition, Socket Mobile’s newest unreleased product, TouchPoint, made an impression with its ease of reading and range. One exhibitor from Axiomware, Alfred Gomes PHD, flattered us with his comments: “It was quite amazing for visitors to see the red Springcard and TouchPoint work well over 8 cm distance. This contrasts the NFC badge provided by CES that only worked if you directly touched it with the smartphone.”

At the NRF (National Retail Federation), TeamWork Retail displayed nothing but Socket Mobile products, yet still gained plenty of foot traffic to impress and please us all.

Additional exhibitors displayed our products as well. CelloTape – manufacturer of custom identification labels – arranged a display of our unreleased D600 model, demonstrating the practical use of NFC (near field communication).

Overall, January’s overwhelming spotlights may have blinded some participants, including Socket Mobile. However, we learned to not shy away from the illumination when it was our turn in the limelight.  We look forward to tackling a New Year of challenges.
