PDF417 (Portable Data File) is a 2D, stacked linear barcode format used in a variety of applications such as transport, identification cards, and inventory management. The "417" signifies that each pattern in the code consists of 4 bars and spaces in a pattern that is 17 units long.

Driver's License (PDF417) is supported by default on all Socket Mobile barcode scanners. You can enable or disable this symbology on your Socket Mobile scanner simply by scanning the codes below. Note: Scanner must be in a disconnected state before scanning the command barcode.
