MICR E13B Overview

Magnetic Ink Character Recognition Code (MICR) is a character recognition technology used by the banking industry. The MICR E13B font has been adopted as the international standard in ISO and is the standard in Australia, UK, United States, Central America and much of Asia.

Programming

You can enable or disable this symbology on your Socket Mobile scanner simply by scanning the codes below. Note: Scanner must be in a disconnected state before scanning the command barcode.

Note: D740, D745, and S740 supports OCR symbologies if your scanner has a Green scan LED.

Note: MICR E13B is commonly used on checks and is scanned just like a passport/travel document.
