OCR Barcodes Overview

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that converts an image of text into a machine-readable text format. Barcode OCR is how software applications read barcodes printed on documents or present in photos. Whereas traditional barcode readers use lasers to scan barcodes on physical objects, barcode OCR identifies and reads them from digital images to automate document scanning and form processing workflows.
