Answer:
For iOS and Android devices: No, you can only pair and connect to one host device at a time.
For Windows devices: Yes, you can pair to multiple PCs at the same time. However, the scanner will only connect to one PC at a time. The scanner can pair to 7 PC’s depending on the available configured COM ports. (Note: SPP mode
is required.)
Note: Paired versus Connected
“Paired” is adding the scanner to your host device. “Connected” is being able to use the scanner with the paired device.
How do I pair my Socket Mobile scanner to multiple devices?
Answer:
First, you must be in SPP mode. Then, create a custom barcode for each device that you want the scanner to connect to. For example, computer #1 will have a custom barcode and computer #2 will have its own custom barcode.
Scan the custom barcode
to connect, then scan the #FNA# to disconnect. The scanner must be disconnected from its initial device before connecting to another device. However, the scanner will always remain paired.

To create a custom barcode, you must create an FNI barcode:
- Use a barcode generator: https://barcode.tec-it.com/en/Code128
- Choose Code 128 as the format
- Use data #FNIaabbccddeeff# (replace aabbccddeeff with the computer/device’s Bluetooth Address)
See sample barcode below - do not use this
