The C820 is included free of charge within any iOS application that includes the Socket Mobile CaptureSDK and that has had the scanning feature activated by the application developer. The Socket Mobile Companion , Stock Count and SM Keyboard apps all have the C820 built-in.

The C820 is free. The C860 will be available via an upgrade for a nominal monthly fee of $5.99.

Compatible apps will have a ‘Scan’ icon on the screen which, when pressed, will ready the camera for barcode reading.
The C820 cannot be used to scan multiple barcodes simultaneously. The C860 will be able to read multiple barcodes simultaneously.
In theory, yes. The application developer may need to configure the application to accept two different data capture methods, so please check with your application provider if this is possible.
